Push those feelings out the door.
You can't bring them with you anymore.
You can't speak of once shameful lore.
And now people can be so mean!
Kids telling each other, "You shouldn't be seen!"
And there goes yet another innocent teen.
So, now we all hear it on the newsbreak.
Of the kids that thought of their own lives to take.
When you feel like you can't catch a break,
You pay thousands just to speak to a crew.
A team of doctors and therapists too.
Just to learn how to keep them hidden from view.
Mechanisms to break the cycle of your brain
Around your neck so you don't use a rope instead.
Learning to get out of your own head.
But, there's still days you'd rather die in your bed.
Not that you want to truly leave this place.
You just want them to get out of your face.
To allow you to have some peace in your space.
Meditate, eat better food, just take the time
To get right with the universe and free your mind.
You need to calm down and learn to be more kind.
Not kind to others, but kind to you.
To realize you're worthy like the chosen few.
Like those who know how to make their lives new.
What feels like an impossible task
Because you're still too afraid to ask
For the real help you need before you hit the flask.
Coping in other ways to get by
Until you realize it doesn't help, sit down, and cry.
Cry out for someone, anyone to just come by.
To be there with you until you can say
That tomorrow it will be a better day.
And just maybe... It WILL BE a better day.
